

The S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) slumped on Wednesday, weighed down by tech shares. The index was 0.53% lower at 6,992.70 points at the marketâs close.
A poor trade on Wall Street and rising bond yields might have weighed on the S&P/ASX 200 Information Technology Index (ASX: XIJ) today. It dumped 3.8%.
The Nasdaq Composite Index (NASDAQ: .IXIC) fell 1.2% overnight while the S&P 500 Index (SP: .INX) and the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index (DJX: .DJI) slipped 0.4% and 0.2% respectively.
But it wasnât all bad across the bourse. The S&P/ASX 200 Utilities Index (ASX: XUJ) and the S&P/ASX 200 Financials Index (ASX: XFJ) lifted 0.9% and 0.5% respectively.
It came as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX: CBA) released its full year earnings, detailing a $10.77 billion after tax profit.
At the end of todayâs session, two of the ASX 200âs 11 sectors were trading in the green.
